Passionate About Science and Math Education
My work as an educator is driven by a genuine passion for learning and helping students succeed. While my background began in music, my professional focus has grown into mathematics and science—subjects that develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and confidence. This transition reflects my belief in strong foundations and meaningful understanding as the key to academic success.
I support learners working within both the IEB and CAPS curricula, adapting my teaching approach to meet the specific requirements of each while remaining focused on core concepts and skills. My lessons are structured, clear, and engaging, with an emphasis on understanding rather than memorisation. I encourage students to ask questions, think logically, and approach challenges with confidence.
Beyond improving marks, I aim to help students feel capable and motivated in their learning. Building confidence, reducing anxiety, and developing a positive attitude toward mathematics and science are central to my approach. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. Seeing students grow academically and in confidence is what makes teaching so rewarding for me.
